Our journey began on October 1, 1975, with the establishment of Barber Ship Management Ltd in Hong Kong. Over the years, the business grew with our customers as we prioritized safety, efficiency, and sustainability.

In 2008, the name Wilhelmsen Ship Management was adopted to strengthen our corporate identity alongside sister companies under the Wilhelmsen brand. Growth continued with the support of a broader range of vessel types, including tankers, bulk carriers, and specialized ships.

Today, with over 450 vessels and 12,800 seafarers globally, we are a key player in shaping the future of ship management while upholding longstanding maritime traditions.
